03/09/2008 REGISTRATION DAY A HUGE SUCCESS!
Over 80 dance schools from across the United Kingdom called the Mardi Gras offices on the first Monday of September to book their London show in 2009.  Whilst it may have taken some teachers several hours to get through to an operator, it seems that everyone got the date that they were hoping for. 

Most of our dates throughout next year are now fully booked but there are a few spaces still open on April 14th at Sadler's Wells Theatre, Sunday 4th October at Her Majesty's Theatre and in May at the Royal Albert Hall.  If you are interested in any of these please call today on 01992 575 888 to avoid disappointment.

Please remember that due to popular demand we now have a specific registration date for booking London shows.  If your school wants to reserve a space at Her Majesty's Theatre, Sadler's Wells or the Royal Albert for next year be sure to have a staff member call us on 01992 575 888 from 9.30am on Monday 1st September 2008. 

21/07/2008 NEWEST MEMBER OF THE FAMILY
Our mascots "Mardi" and "Gras" are the proud new parents of a baby donkey.  We have decide to call him "Dancer" in honour of all of the ambitious young performers that have participated in our shows.

Mardi Gras Promotions runs from offices situated on a farm in Essex.  We recently welcomed two new additions to the team.  Our donkeys are called MARDI and GRAS.

12/05/2008 CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL INVOLVED
Mardi Gras presented "The Stars" in the Round show at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 11th May.  We were pleased to welcome former Hollyoaks star, Summer Stallen as our guest host who took time off for us from her run as Maria Von Trapp in Andrew Llloyd Webber's Sound Of Music.  Summer and the Mardi Gras team would like to thank all of the supporters that came to watch the show and congratulate every one of the young dancers that performed :-

14/04/2008 MARDI GRAS PRESENT THE FIRST DANCE SCHOOLS TO EVER PERFORM AT THE PORTAVENTURA THEMEPARK
On Monday 7th and Wednesday 9th April 2008 PortAventura gave Mardi Gras Promotions the opportunity to stage a series of shows at their luxurious Gran Teatre Imperial.   This marked the first time that a dance school performed at the Spanish theme park and due to the overwhelming success of this year we are already planning regular productions at the resort.  We would like to thank all of the groups involved this past week :-

25/03/2008 CONGRATULATIONS ON THE EASTER SHOWS
We would like to extend our thanks to all of the staff and students of the 38 dance schools that appeared at Sadler's Wells Theatre this past weekend.  Mardi Gras Promotions are also extremely grateful to all of the supporters that came to watch the Easter shows.

04/03/2008 TICKETS GOING ON SALE FOR 27TH APRIL 2008
We are pleased to announce that the tickets to our first Her Majesty's Theatre show of 2008 will soon be on sale.

The booking line for Sunday 27th April will be 01992 575 888 and will open from 9.30am on Monday 10th March.  We wish you all the best in getting through early for the best seats.

25/02/2008 REGISTRATION DAY FOR THE MARDI GRAS CHALLENGE WAS A HUGE SUCCESS
Today was the date that schools were asked to contact our offices to reserve a place in our competition.  All 30 places for the senior section were fully booked within 45 minutes of opening the telephone lines.  Although we have almost filled the junior category, we might still be able to accommodate you so please call 01992 575 888 soon to avoid disappointment.

15/02/2008 DON'T FORGET REGISTRATION DATE FOR OUR COMPETITION
Last week we sent out a pamphlet about the Mardi Gras Challenge to all of the schools on our database.  Please contact us if you did not receive this but would like to consider entering our competition that is to be staged on Saturday 4th October 2008.
The registartion day is Monday 25th February and to avoid disappointment we recommend that you start ringing 01992 575 888 from 9.30am when the lines first open.  Please note that you can only book your place by telephone and you will need to pay the £10 entrance charge per dancer on that date.  This should be secured by credit or maestro card.

05/02/2008 TICKETS GOING ON SALE FOR SADLER'S WELL THEATRE
Mardi Gras will be producing a series of 4 shows over the 2008 Easter Bank Holiday weekend with 10 different dance schools on each day.  Tickets will be available for 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th March from 9.00am on Monday 11th February on 0870 737 7737 or at www.sadlerswells.com

The ticket line will then be open Monday to Saturday 9.00am to 8.30pm

16/01/2008 REGISTRATION DATE FOR 2008 COMPETITION ANNOUNCED
The Mardi Gras Challenge will be staged at Sadler's Wells Theatre on Saturday 4th October 2008.  We will soon be mailing out literature to schools.  At this time we can confirm that the registration date will be Monday 25th February when particpants will be able to contact 01992 575 888 from 9.30am to secure their place.  Please note that spaces are strictly limited and schools will need to be in a position to pay the entrance charge of £10 per student by credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Maestro).

14/01/2008 STAFF RETURN FROM PORTAVENTURA
The Mardi Gras team have just returned from a thrilling stay at PortAventura in Spain.  This was our first opportunity to see this exciting theme park where we will be giving British dance and stage schools the opportunity to perform.  The on site 4 Star hotel is beautiful with two spectacular pools and the rides in the resort are truly breath-taking.  The theatre where the shows will be staged is state of the art with spacious dressing rooms and an impressive auditorium that can sit over one thousand patrons.

Interest in this event has already been higher than any of our other events.  Due to demand and the strictly limited number of spaces each year we urge you to call now on 01992 575 888 to avoid disappointment.

07/01/2008 STAFF VISIT PORTAVENTURA
The Mardi Gras team are leaving the UK on Tuesday of this week to visit PortAventura in Spain.  This is the first time that we will get to see the theme park since reaching an agreement to allow British dance schools to perform there.  We look forward to staying in the hotel that our visitors will be using, examining the theatre in which they will dance and exploring Barcelona which is a short distance away.
