A brief history

Since our first “The Stars” In Our Eyes show in 1996, the Mardi Gras Team has produced a staggering number of shows. As of March 2006, 403 shows have been staged; this required 1,598 dance troupes, 6386 chaperones, an overwhelming 48,013 young performers and an astonishing 380,700 audience members. That’s an astounding 435,099 people from all over the U.K. who have been directly involved with a Mardi Gras show.

This accomplishment has meant so much to us but means a great deal more to the young performers and the spectators of our magnificent shows. We believe our successes are only made possible by the support, enthusiasm and professionalism of the schools we have worked with. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the thousands of dance and stage schools that have already appeared in Mardi Gras Productions and hope to see you all again soon. If you are a dedicated dance teacher devoted to your students, we certainly welcome your involvement in future events.
